Overview

Villa Preone sits just above the south-west shore of Lake Garda, close enough to walk down to Portese for the harbour and lakeside restaurants, yet tucked into its own gardens with wide views across the water. Large windows frame the lake from almost every level, giving the villa a bright, calm feel throughout.

The heart of the house is the main living floor: a comfortable lounge with fireplace opens onto a wide covered porch, while the fully equipped kitchen leads to a lake-view dining room that also opens directly to the outdoor dining area. It’s an easy set-up for relaxed entertaining, from simple family meals to a chef evening at home.

The villa sleeps up to ten guests across five bright bedrooms. Three double bedrooms sit on the first floor, each with direct terrace access and lake views. The attic level offers two further spacious bedrooms (one double, one twin that can be configured as a double), plus a private lounge and a quiet study area.

On the lower level, the villa’s standout feature is its wellness area: an indoor heated hydromassage pool, Turkish bath and a well-equipped private gym, plus a bathroom with shower. Outside, the gardens wrap the villa in green, with a generous private pool overlooking the lake and mountains.

Location

Villa Preone is ideally placed for exploring the western shore, with Portese right on your doorstep and Salò a short drive away.

Portese village is around 200m away, with the beach and port around 300m away. You’ll find a good selection of restaurants in the village and by the lake, all within easy walking distance.

San Felice del Benaco is around 1.5km away for additional restaurants and a small supermarket. Salò is around 3km away and offers a wider choice of shops, bars and restaurants, plus one of Lake Garda’s best promenades.

Both Portese and Salò have ferry ports, which is one of the simplest ways to explore more of the lake. If you’re planning to use the ferries, our Lake Garda ferry guide is a helpful starting point.

Although the villa is walkable for restaurants and the port, we still recommend having a vehicle for flexibility.

Airports are approximately one hour from Milan Bergamo and Verona, and around 30 minutes from the A4 Milan – Venice motorway.

The villa is arranged over four levels, so it suits guests comfortable with stairs.

There’s a dedicated laundry room on the lower floor with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.

Hairdryers are provided in all bathrooms.

The spa level includes an additional shower bathroom, which is useful after pool time or workouts.

Although Portese is walkable for restaurants and the port, we still recommend a vehicle for easy day trips and shopping runs.
