Overview

Villa Agatea is a small and comfortable retreat for two within the Colago Estate, set in the hills above Toscolano Maderno and Bogliaco with views towards Lake Garda.

The villa is arranged over two levels. Downstairs, the kitchen, dining area and living space form the main part of the house, with the bathroom also on this level.

The double bedroom sits above on a mezzanine-style upper floor, giving the sleeping area a little separation from the main living space below.

Outside is a private fenced garden with a terrace, sun loungers and the villa’s own heated mini-pool. It is a compact outside space, but there is enough room to sit out, enjoy the lake views and spend quiet time at the villa.

Guests can also use the wider facilities, including the heated infinity pool and the lake-view saunas set within the estate gardens.

Agatea suits guests who don’t need a large villa but still want their own front door, private outside space and pool, together with the convenience and services of the wider estate.

Location

Villa Agatea sits in the hills above Bogliaco and Toscolano Maderno, on the western shore of Lake Garda.

The setting is peaceful and green, surrounded by the estate’s terraced Mediterranean gardens with olive, lemon and cypress trees. From the villa there are wide views across Lake Garda and the mountains beyond, while Bogliaco Golf lies directly below the estate.

The small lakeside village of Bogliaco, part of Gargnano, is around 3 km away. Here you’ll find a small marina, beach and a small selection of places to eat and drink.

For everyday shopping and a larger choice of restaurants and services, Toscolano Maderno is the closest larger town. A large supermarket is around 4 km away, approximately a 10-minute drive, and Toscolano Maderno also has beaches and a ferry port with connections across Lake Garda.

A car is needed for stays here. The hillside setting is part of the appeal, but the surrounding towns, lakefront and everyday amenities are most easily reached by car.

For guests looking to stay without a vehicle, transfers can be arranged as well as grocery shopping and private chefs.
