Villa al Legno was absolutely stunning. The positioning couldn\’t have been more perfect which woke us up to the most surreal views. The quality and finish are top end and everything was impressive. The owner has designed and furnished this building very well. Good space and resources. The staff were always available to help, and we never had any problems with communication. They are quick, welcoming and polite. Stefania was a pleasure to meet, and she took her time making sure me and my family were comfortable with everything. There are a few negative points I\’d like to make, however, some of these are more like suggestions to make the stay even better! – The BBQ was faulty. We had a dangerous accident trying to set it up – the regulator was missing from the gas tank which caused a mini explosion. My dad and nephew were very close to this incident. – Sometimes the villa has a water shortage due to the water supply coming from the mountains. This wasn\’t informed to us before our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and this only happened once. However, the day we had no water was when our Private Chef arrived and he couldn\’t continue with preparations. – A rail/banister would be useful going down the stairs to the bedrooms. We had children with us and sometimes we didn\’t find it safe. – The Villa itself is very dark, and during the evenings we struggled. Some lamps in the main living area didn\’t work, and we had to on occasion use our phone torches. – A chest of drawers in the middle bedroom downstairs was jammed, and when trying to pull/open it, the whole thing tipped forward. – Difficulty entering and parking. We were advised to hire a car due to the location of the Villa, however, the angle of the driveway is very narrow and close to the main road. The gates also open outwards, not inwards, so you end up blocking traffic for some time. Opening the gates is very slow and was always delayed. Our first day, arriving at the villa our minivan got stuck in a large pothole in the driveway which caused damage to our tyres. It\’s best to advise guests to hire small cars, and this wasn\’t informed to us. – Toilet is faulty in the downstairs main bathroom. It is constantly flushing, which we believe drained the water supply. I hope this is helpful and taken on board. Despite the negatives, I would still come back to visit.
