Discover Villa Antica, an elegant private villa in the hills above Salò on the western shore of Lake Garda. Nestled just a five minute drive from this stunning lakeside town, this historic home offers privacy and tranquility and yet is still close to the lake.

Villa Antica blends modern comfort and a charm, typical of historic homes in this area to create a space perfect for families and groups travelling together. Spread over four floors, this spacious home comfortably accommodates 13 guests acress 6 bedrooms and offers lake views from the both the second and third floors.

The ground floor boasts one of two kitchens and serves the outdoor area, perfect for al-fresco dining on the terrace. There’s a barbecue area outside too.

Head to the first floor and the main living space of Villa Antica. The main kitchen is on this floor and is fully equipped and includes an oven, dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine. The dining area is here too and comfortably seats 12 for dinner. The first floor is also home to the main living room and reading snug.

The bedrooms are located on the upper floors with the second floor home to four bedrooms, two of which share a stunning lake view terrace. The attic floor boats the last two bedrooms and more lake views and all the bedrooms are air conditioned. This floor also has a living room area with a double sofa bed.

For lazy days, the villa boasts large gardens and olive trees as well as a wonderful private pool, complete with sun loungers and parsols.

Sleeps

Up to 13 guests. At full occupancy, 2 guests will be sleeping in the double sofa bed in the living space on the attic floor.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

There are 6 bedrooms in total and 5 bathrooms.

On the second floor there are 3 double bedrooms, two of which share the large terrace with view of the lake. There is also a bedroom with a queen size bed. On the attic floor there is a double bedroom with lake view and a twin room. The single beds here can be joined to make a double bed.

The attic floor has a living area with a double sofa bed.

On the ground floor there is a bathroom with shower and on the first floor there is a guest bathroom with toilet only. The second floor has two spacious and bright bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath tub. The attic floor boasts a large bathroom with hydromassage bath.

All of the bathrooms are complete with hairdryer.

Kitchen

The villa has two kitchens. One on the ground floor, serving the outside area and the main kitchen on the first floor. This is well equipped with all major and minor appliances and includes a Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, double overn, microwave and large fridge freezer.

Swimming Pool

The private pool is furnished with sun loungers and parasols and measures 8m x 3m.

Good to Know

At full occupancy, 2 guests will be sleeping on the double sofa bed in the living area on the attic floor.

All bedrooms are air conditioned.

The garden is approximately 1,500m2, entirely flat and also offers table tennis.

The pool is not fenced so children must always be supervised.

There are laundry facilities and WIFI throughout the home.

Cots and highchairs are available, on request.

Location

Nestled in the hills just above the lakeside town of Salò, Villa Antica is a countryside retreat and surrounded by rich greenery, it is just under 2km from the centre of town and the lake.

Immersed in a large garden filled with olive trees and centuries-old plants, this home is also a great starting point for walks, cycling and trekking. The hills surrounding Salò offer a fantastic choice of routes, offering some stunning views over the bay and across the lake.

Salò is a lively town with a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The beaches are popular with the locals and the town boasts a wonderful lakeside promenade, almost 3km in length and the only one of its kind on Lake Garda.

The centre of Salò and the lakeside promenade are around 1.5km away , so around 20 to 25 minutes walk. It’s importatnt to note that the initial part of the route is downhill along a country road. There is a main road to cross before heading through the residential streets of the town.

Salò has a well connected ferry port, offering an excellent way to explore more of Lake Garda.

We do recommend having a vehicle for stays at Villa Antica but it is not remote. There is a large parking area inside the villa gates for up to 4 cars. You can discover Car Hire options here.

Just 30 minutes drive from the main A4 Milan-Venice motorway, Villa Antica is about a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.
