Overview

Villa Arche sits in a private hillside position above Gardone Riviera, surrounded by gardens and olive trees with wide views across Lake Garda.

The house is modern and light, with large windows and glazed doors designed to bring the lake view into the main living spaces. The ground floor forms the social heart of the villa, with an open living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and direct access onto the lake-facing terrace, gardens and swimming pool.

One of the four bedrooms is also on this level, with its own shower bathroom, garden access and views towards the pool and lake.

Three further bedrooms are on the first floor. One has its own en-suite shower bathroom, while the other two share a spacious shower bathroom. One of these bedrooms has a French-size double bed, which is slightly smaller than a standard double.

The second floor is one of the villa’s most enjoyable spaces: a separate relaxation lounge with its own small kitchen and bar area, opening onto a large furnished panoramic terrace. It works well for morning coffee, an aperitivo before dinner or simply somewhere quieter to sit with the lake spread out below.

Outside, the 12m x 4m pool sits alongside the main terrace and gardens, with several areas for relaxing, dining and enjoying the view.

Location

Villa Arche sits in the hills immediately above Gardone Riviera, close to the Vittoriale degli Italiani. Upper Gardone, with its quaint restaurants and cafes is around 5 minutes walk away.

The lakefront and lower part of Gardone Riviera are around 1km from the villa — approximately 15 minutes downhill on foot. The important qualifier is the return journey: the walk back to the villa is steep and uphill.

Gardone Riviera has restaurants, cafés, small shops and a ferry port, making it easy to explore other towns around the lake without driving every day.

We still recommend having a car for shopping and exploring further afield. The villa has a garage for one car plus additional parking within the grounds.

Villa Arche is just under a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo and Verona airports and is an easy destination to get to.

Good to know

• Villa Arche is arranged over three floors, so guests should be comfortable with stairs.
• The villa is walkable to Gardone Riviera, but the return journey is steep and uphill. Guests with reduced mobility or who prefer not to tackle a strong uphill walk will find having a car more practical.
• One of the four bedrooms has a French-size 140cm double bed, which is narrower than the other double beds.
• Air conditioning is available throughout the villa.
• Laundry facilities include a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

Villa Arche works well for a week that mixes easy villa days with time in Gardone Riviera.

A private boat day from Gardone is one of the easiest ways to explore more of Lake Garda, while the Vittoriale degli Italiani is close enough to visit without turning it into a full-day excursion.

Pre-arrival grocery shopping can make the first evening easier, and wine tastings, cooking experiences and other local activities can also be arranged.

For a quieter day, the villa itself has enough space to make staying home feel worthwhile — pool time, lunch on the terrace and an evening drink on the upper terrace with the lake below.
