Overview

Nestled in the hills above the lake, Villa Navelli is a wonderful lake-view estate spanning over 30 acres of olive groves, vineyards and parkland. A haven of tranquility, the estate sits close to Salò on the southwest shore of Lake Garda and is an ideal choice for families and groups holidaying together.

A traditional Italian country home, Villa Navelli is composed of the main house and dependance and spread over three floors, it can accommodate up to 14 guests over seven bedrooms.

The ground floor and heart of this country villa is home to the living space. Complete with two dining areas, the space boasts a living room as well as a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for family dinner parties.

Each floor is connected by a staircase and upstairs on the first floor are the first two double bedrooms, study and the wellness and spa area, complete with Finnish sauna. The bedrooms on this floor are both en-suite with shower.

At the top of the home, on the third floor is the attic with family suite. This suite is composed of a twin bedroom, a double room, reading snug as well as a family bathroom.

The dependence is adjacent to the main house and although it has its own independent entrance, it can be accessed through one of the double rooms on the first floor. The ground floor has a living space with kitchenette as well as a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Upstairs on the first floor is another double bedroom, a twin room and a bathroom with shower.

Back on the ground floor, step out from the living area directly to the panoramic terrace. The terrace boasts a wonderful dining area with breathtaking views over the lake below and it really is the perfect spot for al-fresco dinners and evening aperitivi. For lunch in the shade, head to the villa’s portico, a large covered porch equipped with another dining area as well as an outdoor oven and barbecue.

The jewel of this wonderful home has to be the 13 hectares of parkland and gardens. A long driveway leads to the estate, surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves that stretch as far as the eye can see. Spread over various levels, the gardens are interspersed with footpaths with one in particular leading to the wonderful viewpoint. The gazebo here has a sitting area, making for a fine location for morning coffee and beautiful views of the lake and bay of Salò.

The upper gardens boast a large private pool with one of the most scenic spots of the entire estate. Surrounded by a large stone solarium, the pool is also equipped with parasols and sun loungers.

A cobbled path through the olive groves leads to the tennis court as well as a playing field, complete with goalposts. There’s a clubhouse here too, used as a changing room and which comes with a bathroom.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

There are 6/7 bedrooms in total composed of:

4 double rooms
1 twin room (with bed that can be joined to make a double)
1 family suite – this has twin beds (that can be joined) as well as a room with double bed.

The main house has two double en-suite bedrooms on the first floor and the family suite on the loft floor. The double bedroom here is open to the rest of the suite.

The annex has one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the ground floor and a double and twin room on the first floor. These two rooms share a bathroom.

There are 6 bathrooms in total – 4 with shower, 1 with bathtub and 1 guest toilet. 4 bathrooms are en-suite.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is open from the 26th April to the 4th October. With a maximum depth of 2.7m, the pool measures approximately 15m x 7m and is equipped with a salt purification system. Lighting around the pool allows for evening swims after sunset.

Good to Know

Guests are welcomed on arrival and the caretaker is on hand during your stay for any assistance.

The caretaker lives on the estate, in an independent property adjacent to the main building. He discreetly takes care of the upkeep of the home and grounds but leaves guests to enjoy the estate in complete privacy.

All bedrooms are air conditioned and the home has WIFI.

There is a laundry room in the main home with a washing machine and ironing facilities.

Cots and highchairs are available, on request.

Pets are welcome at this home.

Location

Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Villa Navelli is nestled in the hills above Lake Garda and offers a wonderful escape to nature. The estate is 5km from the lake and town of Salò, famous for its lakeside promenade, the longest around Lake Garda.

A lively town all year around, Salò is also one of the major ports on Lake Garda and is well served by the lake ferries, offering a wonderful way to explore Lake Garda. You’ll find all the shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours you need here as well as the beach, particularly popular with locals.

Villa Navelli Estate is a good base for exploring this beautiful region with the major towns and airports of Verona, Venice and Milan within easy reach. The main Milan – Venice motorway is within 30 minutes drive of the villa and both Milan Bergamo and Verona airports are around 1 hour away.
