Travel Tips & Inspiration: Plan Your Perfect Lake Garda Escape
Welcome to Travel Tips & Inspiration Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, our Travel Tips & Inspiration series is here... Read More
The ferry service is a great option for a day out on Lake Garda and a perfect way to travel and visit some of its stunning lakeside towns.
There are 28 boats that make up the service, ranging from catamaran and hydrofoils that transport you across the lake quickly to two large ships fitting over 1000 people. These boats feature air conditioning, restaurants and toilet facilities and the sundecks are the perfect spot to admire the views, relax and enjoy the journey.
You can travel all the way from Desenzano del Garda in the south to Riva del Garda in the north (if you have the whole day to fill!) and even take your car with you on the car ferry that travels between Maderno and Torri del Benaco.
During the summer months there is also a car ferry between Limone and Malcesine.
You can book your tickets at the ticket office located near each dock or online via the Navigazione Laghi website. If booking at the ticket office before your journey we do suggest arriving with time to spare as there may be queues, especially over the holidays and summer months.
Good to know: The timetables change several times throughout the year, so make sure you are looking at the correct times for your travel date.
