Why we love this villa
- We like the balance of space here. Gelsomino is easy for a family or two couples to manage, and gives guests their own garden and heated mini-pool.
- The two living areas give everyone a little more flexibility inside, especially when travelling with children or as two couples.
- It is also a really useful option for larger groups. Gelsomino sits alongside Fiordaliso and Orchidea, so two or all three villas can be booked together while each family or couple keeps their own private space.
Perfect for
- Families or two couples looking for a smaller Lake Garda villa with their own garden and heated pool.
- Families travelling with a dog, thanks to the fenced private garden.
- Larger family groups or friends who would like to book neighbouring villas rather than share one larger house.
Overview
Villa Gelsomino is a comfortable two-bedroom villa within the Colago Estate, set in the hills above Toscolano Maderno and Bogliaco on the western side of Lake Garda.
Arranged over two floors, the villa works well for a family or two couples. Downstairs, the kitchen, dining area and main living space sit alongside one of the double bedrooms, with easy access out to the garden and private heated mini-pool.
Upstairs, the second double bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and a smaller living area, giving guests a little extra separation and privacy.
Outside, Gelsomino has its own fenced garden of around 100 sqm, with space to sit and relax while enjoying the views towards Lake Garda. The private heated mini-pool sits within the garden and gives guests somewhere of their own to cool off or unwind without heading to the main estate pool.
The wider estate gardens and facilities are close by, including the heated infinity pool and panoramic saunas, but the villa still has a clear sense of its own space.
Gelsomino is also one of three neighbouring villas with the same layout and facilities. Villa Fiordaliso and Villa Orchidea can be booked at the same time, making this a useful setup for larger groups who want to stay together without everyone sharing the same house.
Location
Villa Gelsomino sits in the hills above Bogliaco and Toscolano Maderno, on the western shore of Lake Garda.
The setting is peaceful and green, surrounded by the estate’s terraced Mediterranean gardens with olive, lemon and cypress trees. From the villa there are wide views across Lake Garda and the mountains beyond, while Bogliaco Golf lies directly below the estate.
The small lakeside village of Bogliaco, part of Gargnano, is around 3 km away. Here you’ll find a small marina, beach and a small selection of places to eat and drink.
For everyday shopping and a larger choice of restaurants and services, Toscolano Maderno is the closest larger town. A large supermarket is around 4 km away, approximately a 10-minute drive, and Toscolano Maderno also has beaches and a ferry port with connections across Lake Garda.
A car is needed for stays here. The hillside setting is part of the appeal, but the surrounding towns, lakefront and everyday amenities are most easily reached by car.
For guests looking to stay without a vehicle, transfers can be arranged as well as grocery shopping and private chefs.
