Overview

Villa Orchidea is a relaxed two-bedroom villa within the Colago Estate, set above Toscolano Maderno and Bogliaco with views towards Lake Garda.

The accommodation is split naturally over two floors. Downstairs are the kitchen, dining area and main living space, together with one double bedroom and its en-suite bathroom. Doors lead out towards the private garden and heated mini-pool, so the main living areas connect easily with the outside space.

The second double bedroom is upstairs and also has its own en-suite bathroom. A smaller living area on this floor gives guests another place to sit and makes the layout useful for two couples or a family who would like a little extra separation.

Outside, the fenced garden extends to around 100 sqm, with space for sitting outside and the villa’s own heated mini-pool. Guests can also make use of the larger estate infinity pool and panoramic saunas when they want a change of scene.

Orchidea shares its layout and facilities with neighbouring Villa Gelsomino and Villa Fiordaliso. The three properties can be booked separately, but together they create a practical option for a larger family group or friends who want to be close without all sharing one villa.

Location

Villa Orchidea sits in the hills above Bogliaco and Toscolano Maderno, on the western shore of Lake Garda.

The setting is peaceful and green, surrounded by the estate’s terraced Mediterranean gardens with olive, lemon and cypress trees. From the villa there are wide views across Lake Garda and the mountains beyond, while Bogliaco Golf lies directly below the estate.

The small lakeside village of Bogliaco, part of Gargnano, is around 3 km away. Here you’ll find a small marina, beach and a small selection of places to eat and drink.

For everyday shopping and a larger choice of restaurants and services, Toscolano Maderno is the closest larger town. A large supermarket is around 4 km away, approximately a 10-minute drive, and Toscolano Maderno also has beaches and a ferry port with connections across Lake Garda.

A car is needed for stays here. The hillside setting is part of the appeal, but the surrounding towns, lakefront and everyday amenities are most easily reached by car.

For guests looking to stay without a vehicle, transfers can be arranged as well as grocery shopping and private chefs.

• Villa Orchidea sits alongside Villa Gelsomino and Villa Fiordaliso. Each can be booked independently, or two or all three can be reserved together for groups wanting separate private spaces within a few steps of one another.

Good to know

The private garden is fenced, making Villa Orchidea a useful option for guests travelling with a dog.

Air conditioning is available throughout the villa.

Additional child beds can be provided free of charge on request, either as a cot for children aged 0–3 or as a fold-up bed measuring 80 x 190 cm.

A car is needed here and private parking is available within the estate.
