Why we love this villa
Villa Oliva is one of those homes that feels special for Malcesine: peaceful and private, but close enough that you can wander into town for dinner without planning your evening around the car.
- Malcesine is one of the lake’s most sought-after bases, and good private villas within walking distance of town are not easy to find.
- The wellness area changes the feel of the stay, especially in shoulder season or cooler evenings.
- It’s set up for real villa living, with easy indoor-outdoor flow onto the terrace and gardens.
- You get the best of both worlds: quiet, residential surroundings and a very easy walk into Malcesine.
Perfect for
- Families who want Malcesine on foot, with pool days at home and town evenings as part of the rhythm
- Two families travelling together, who want space and a villa that works well for a larger group
- Guests who love wellness facilities (jacuzzi, sauna) alongside classic lake living
- A shoulder-season stay where underfloor heating and the spa make the villa feel cosy and usable
Feel free to share your dates and group make-up and we’ll confirm availability and advise on the best fit.
Overview
Villa Oliva is a recently renovated villa in a prime residential position in Malcesine, just a few minutes’ walk from the lake and the town centre.
The villa is arranged over three floors. The main living space sits on the ground floor and feels like the heart of the house, with an open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. Large sliding doors bring in plenty of light and open onto the terrace and gardens.
Three bedrooms are also on the ground floor, all king-size doubles. The master suite has a super king-size bed that can be separated to form a twin option, and there is also a single sofa bed in this room. The master has an en-suite shower bathroom, while the other two bedrooms share a family shower bathroom.
Up on the mezzanine level there is a study area, plus the fourth bedroom, which is a twin that can be configured as a double. This floor also includes a further shower bathroom. The study has a double sofa bed, which provides the additional sleeping flexibility that takes the villa up to 11 guests.
Outside, the gardens are set up for slow, easy days, with a gazebo for outdoor dining, sun loungers around the pool, and a terrace with barbecue. The wellness area includes a heated jacuzzi and sauna, which is a real highlight for this part of the lake.
Location
Villa Oliva is in a residential part of Malcesine, in a prime position within a few minutes’ walk of both the lake and the centre of town.
Malcesine is one of Lake Garda’s most loved towns, with cobbled streets, lively bars and excellent restaurants, and it makes a fantastic base for exploring the lake.
It’s worth noting the villa sits up a hill, so while it’s an easy walk down into town, the walk back is uphill and may feel challenging for some guests.
Malcesine has a ferry port, and ferries are one of the simplest ways to explore Lake Garda without driving. If you’re planning to use the ferries, our Lake Garda ferry guide is a helpful starting point.
The villa has a garage for one vehicle, plus two uncovered spaces outside.
The villa is just over a one hour drive from Verona Airport and around two hours from Milan Bergamo Airport.

Our family of five adults and two younger children came to stay in Malcesine. Two couples had married in the Castle here and it holds a special place in our hearts. The villa is contemporary in style, spacious and clean, with ample space for sunbathing and garden games. The children spent lots of time playing in the pool. The hot tub proved a popular extra treat for us, even with the high temperature. The very helpful host was friendly and available nearby for any queries about the villa. The villa has a few steps and stairs which make it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Our family had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The Internet access was variable. Distance from town was a 10 minute walk. Access to beach on lake front was via easy small roads. Highly recommend.

There were 11 of us, and we used most of what was there.
Antonella welcomed us right at check-in and showed us the very clean, cosy and beautiful property.
Both the garden with pool and hot tub and the interior of the house were beautiful and well maintained.
There were all the household appliances you need, and they were in good condition.
Although it is often not the case, the reality here actually corresponds to what is promised online!
Communication was hassle-free, and we would all recommend the accommodation to others. -
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The location was perfect — close to everything we needed while still feeling peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable. The home had plenty of room for our family, and everyone felt comfortable throughout the stay. Everything was clean, well organized, and thoughtfully prepared.
The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, with stunning olive trees, colorful flowers, and such a peaceful atmosphere everywhere you looked. We especially loved the outdoor sitting areas and the pool area, which made it so easy to relax and enjoy time together as a family. It truly felt like a special getaway.
The service and communication from the host were exceptional from beginning to end. They were responsive, kind, and made the entire experience seamless. We truly could not have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely return again in the future. Highly recommend!
