Overview

Villa Quercia sits in the Valtenesi hills above the lake, in an exclusive residential area close to Soiano del Lago and a short drive from Moniga del Garda. The villa has been recently renovated and blends modern comfort with traditional Italian character, typical of homes in this part of the lake. 

The villa is arranged over three levels. The main living space is the mezzanine floor, with a comfortable lounge, a dining table that seats up to 10, and a brand new kitchen that opens straight onto the terrace and garden. It’s an easy set-up for groups, especially because the porch is directly outside, with a dining table for 12 and a modern barbecue overlooking the pool. 

Bedroom layout is practical for a larger group. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (one double and one twin), both with a balcony and lake view, plus a family bathroom with double sink and shower.

On the mezzanine level there is a bright double bedroom with garden view and a private bathroom. 

On the basement level you’ll find a further double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, plus a family suite made up of two bedrooms (one double and one twin) with its own bathroom. The two bedrooms are separated by a door, but the bathroom is accessed through the double bedroom, which is worth knowing when allocating rooms for children. 

The basement level also includes a second lounge / TV area, which works very well for teens or for groups who like having a separate space in the evenings. 

Outside, the gardens are flat and easy, with olive trees and plenty of space to spread out. The pool is large (12m x 8m) with a shallow area for younger guests and a deeper end with a diving board, and there are also simple extras that families appreciate, including a children’s play house, football nets and a ping pong table. 

Location

Villa Quercia is around a 15-minute walk to Soiano del Lago, but it’s a small village with limited services, so a vehicle is essential for groceries, beach days and exploring. 

The lakeside town of Moniga del Garda is a few minutes’ drive away and has a good selection of restaurants and shops, plus beaches and a ferry port. 

Soiano sits between Salò and Desenzano del Garda, both around 15 minutes away, making this a very convenient base for the south-west corner of the lake. 

The villa is around 30–40 minutes from Verona Airport and around 1 hour from Milan Bergamo Airport.

Good to know

Villa Quercia works best with a vehicle. Soiano is walkable, but services are limited, and you’ll want a car for groceries and beach days. 

The family suite on the basement level is a great set-up for families, but please note the bathroom is accessed through the double bedroom. 

The pool includes both a shallow area for children and a deeper section with a diving board, so younger guests should be supervised around the pool area. 

Experiences

Villa Quercia is a lovely base for easy lake living in the south-west: beach mornings in Moniga, a ferry day across the water, then back home for a long lunch and an afternoon swim.

For groups, pre-stocking can make the first evening feel effortless, and an in-villa cooking class works particularly well here because the terrace and dining set-up is made for it.
