Villa Rei is a wonderful family villa sitting in the lakeside town of Moniga del Garda. With a private pool and within walking distance to the town centre and lake, Villa Rei is a great base for an easy, carefree stay with family or friends in Lake Garda.
Located just a 5 minutes walk from the centre of Moniga del Garda, Villa Rei is also close to the shore, offering a great choice of restaurants, bars and beaches. One favourite feature of the villa is the spacious terrace on the first floor. With a beautiful view over Lake Garda, the terrace is a perfect spot to entertain and enjoy sunset “aperitivo”.
The villa is spread over three levels and sleeps 10 guests in 4 bright and spacious double bedrooms. The ground floor of the villa is host to the living and dining space as well as well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen opens on to the garden and patio which has a wonderful outdoor kitchen and barbecue area too.
The first double bedroom and bathroom is also on the ground floor and head upstairs to the large double bedroom with the terrace overlooking the lake. This room also has the ensuite bathroom with shower.
From the garden, head down the steps to the villa’s own private pool, complete with a shallow end for the kids and a deeper area with diving board for the more adventurous.
The garden is planted with olive trees and has a lovely play area including trampoline and table tennis.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
There are 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
1 double room on the ground floor overlooking the garden.
1 master ensuite bedroom on the first floor which opens on to the large lake view terrace
2 bedrooms in the lower level of the villa – both rooms have double beds and one has an additional double sofa bed.
There are 3 bathrooms in the villa: one on the ground floor with bath; one en-suite on the first floor, with shower and a third bathroom with shower on the lower level.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.
Swimming Pool
The private pool is on the lower level of the garden and measures 14m x 6m. One side of the pool has entrance steps and shallower water with the other, deeper and complete with diving board.
Good to know
The lounge and all bedrooms are air conditioned.
The last two bright bedrooms are in the basement level as well as the third bathroom and laundry and garage.
The villa comes complete with WIFI throughout.

Location
Villa Rei is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Moniga del Garda and 1.3km from the beach. Although a small town, Moniga offers a medieval castle and a great choice of wonderful restaurants and bars and is a good base to explore this wonderful area.
There is a good sized supermarket 1.5km away from the villa.
The major towns of Salò and Desenzano are only around 15 minutes away and Moniga has its own port and is serviced by the lake ferries, offering a great alternative to explore the region. And if you prefer something a little more stylish, there are some fantastic options to rent your own boat here. The port is 1.7km from the villa.
Please note there is an uphill walk from the beach and lake up to the town centre.
A vehicle isn’t essential for stays at Villa Rei although we highly recommend it. There is a large garage here for indoor parking and there is space within the gates of the villa for a further two cars.
This villa is about a 1 hour drive to both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.

Nice villa, but better organisation and communication are needed by host. Close to Moniga, short walk away from bars, restaurants and local shops. Grass cutting was arranged during our stay by the host because the gardener was unavailable on our day of leaving. It was a noise nuisance and diminished our enjoyment of the villa and its garden that morning, which we couldn’t use.

What a beautiful Villa with everything you could ask for! The pool was immense. The house clean and tidy with lots of space and multiple eating areas. Lots of children’s toys/activities/games/pool noodles and a ten minute walk to restaurants and shops. Very close by car to some wonderful beaches on the lake and other nearby picturesque port towns. Mosquitos are everywhere due to proximity to the lake which is unfortunate but mosquito nets were provided to sleep in. Only one bed room had air con so it was very very hot in the house during August. This was the only downside. Hosts were exceptional and I loved that there was so much storage and hooks everywhere – it’s the little details that make it feel like a home not living out of suitcase! Shower was lovely and powerful and loved having shower by the pool too. I would come again but outside of hottest months if possible (difficult due to school holidays!)
