Italy’s train service provides frequent and reliable transport through Italy and offers an excellent service connecting Lake Garda to the main cities of Milan and Venice. With only two train stations servicing Lake Garda – Desenzano del Garda and Peschiera del Garda on the south coast – you should consider onward travel from here. Taxis are readily available and there is a regular bus and ferry service.
Visiting Riva del Garda or Malcesine in the north of Lake Garda? You may want to travel to Rovereto and take a bus or taxi down. This could also be a quicker option if travelling to Limone on public transport.
