Overview

Welcome to Villa Girasole Estate, a wonderful luxury estate nestled in the hills above Lake Garda near Brenzone.

With stunning panoramic views over the lake, the estate provides accommodation for up to 20 guests across two beautiful villas within the private estate, Villa Girasole, sleeping up to 12 and Villa Stella, sleeping up to 8.

These magnificent homes are set in a 21-acre private estate, with peace and tranquility guaranteed.

Villa Girasole is spread over two levels and sleeps up to 12 guests over 6 bedroom suites, each uniquely furnished and most with wonderful lake views.

Built facing the lake, the heart of Villa Girasole is the wonderful living space complete with kitchen and dining area. This bright space is perfect to relax after a day exploring and visits in the autumn are made cozy thanks to a beautiful open fire.

The modern country-style kitchen has a centre-island and comes fully equipped with everything you need to whip up some local dishes, including oven and dishwasher. The dining table inside is handmade from nut wood and there’s an outside dining area too, perfect for a spot of al-fresco dining. There’s a barbecue too, great for some summer grilling.

The villa gardens take full advantage of the beautiful scenery and wonderful views of Lake Garda. Spanning several acres, the garden is filled with exotic plants such as banana and grapefruit trees and there are explosions of colour dotted everywhere.

The garden is also home to a peaceful natural swimming pool, an ideal spot to spend a day under the sun. And if you simply fancy relaxing after a day exploring, head to the Finnish sauna or the heated outdoor jacuzzi.

Villa Stella is an elegant and spacious home and is spread over one level. This villa accommodates up to eight guests over 3 bedroom suites, all with stunning lake views. The living area is the heart of the home and boasts a living room, dining area and fully equipped modern kitchen. There’s a TV room too and floor to ceiling windows flood the home with light.

Step outside to the stunning terrace that spreads the length of the villa and boasts incredible lake views. The garden is a wonderful spot to spend lazy days and features a private pool as well as a relax area under the olive trees. There’s plenty of space for dining outside and the terrace is equipped with a barbecue too.

Villa Girasole offers 6 double bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Ground floor

There are two double en-suite bedrooms on the lower floor with shower. Both of these rooms can be converted to a twin room, on request.

First floor

On the first floor, there are two double en-suite bedrooms, both with shower and bath tub. Both of these rooms can be converted to a twin room, on request.

Second floor

There is another double and twin room on the upper floor and which share a family bathroom, with shower and bath rub.

Villa Stella has three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The TV room has a sofa bed and can be used as a fourth bedroom, bringing the capacity of the villa to 8, although this should be reserved for use by children only. There is a guest bathroom also available.

Good to know

The estate is composed of two villa (Villa Girasole and Villa Stella) as well as a private home. Each home is independent. The estate owners live around 200 metres from Villa Girasole and are available for any assistance although you won’t be disturbed during your stay.

The villas are climate controlled with a natural ventilation system throughout – keeping the properties warm in autumn and cool in the summer. WIFI is available.

The gardens have many unfenced walls and drops and may not be suitable for small children. Children should always be supervised in the garden area.

And here are few, fun & interesting facts about this wonderful property:

• Almost all the materials for the furniture has been sourced locally
• The villa is built out of wood sourced from South Tyrol
• The villa has a natural swimming pool and no chemicals are used to treat the water. The water is cleaned by special plants in the water and is really kind even to the skin!
• There are bee hives at the property (at a distance from the villa) and the villa owners produce their own honey. There is also a chicken house in the villa grounds.
• Water at the villa is sourced from its own deep well. It’s fresh mountain spring water, is tested regularly and is the very best drinking quality. The villa owners encourage guests to drink the tap water, rather than buying water and also provide a soda stream for you to make your own sparkling water – another way to reduce plastic bottle usage.

Location

Located on the east coast of Lake Garda, Villa Girasole Estate is directly above Castelletto di Brenzone, a charming village directly on the shores of Lake Garda. There’s a nice selection of restaurants here as well as small supermarket and the lake ferries stop here twice daily.

There is an ancient roman path that passes the villa and heads straight down to Castelletto as well as up to the mountain village of Prada. It’s a steep walk over a stone path and takes around 15 minutes. Give yourself a little longer coming back up.

A car is required here. The location is hillside and is around 5km by car from the village of Castelletto di Brenzone. The access road to the villa is a steep gravel road (around 600 metres). Please make sure you are confident driving and we highly recommend a sturdy vehicle. There is parking available.

This area is a wonderful base for exploring Lake Garda and the beautiful towns of Malcesine and Torri del Benaco are just 15 minutes away by car. Villa Girasole Estate is around 1 hour 45 minutes from Milan Bergamo Airport and 1 hour from Verona Airport
