Found at the mountainous northern end of Lake Garda, dramatic cliffs rise up over the lakeside town of Limone Sul Garda. With its stunning views over the lake and dramatic scenery, it’s no surprise it’s regarded as one of the top towns to visit on Lake Garda.
With Limone being the Italian word for lemon, this shoreline was once renowned for growing lemons and is the perfect location to enjoy a locally made limoncello or lemon sorbet, the perfect way to cool down on long summer days! The west coast of Lake Garda is also referred to as the ‘Riviera Dei Limoni’ and stretches all the way from Salò to Limone.
Limone can be reached by the public ferry service which travels around the whole of Lake Garda and there are also a number of private companies found in the port offering excursions and crossings over the lake to Malcesine.
