Overview

Welcome to Villa al Lago, a unique private villa directly on the shores of Lake Garda. This spacious lakefront villa is in the small town of Moniga del Garda in the Valtenesi region on Lake Garda’s west coast.

Surrounded by large gardens, Villa al Lago is a spacious home with late 60s vintage designer interiors. The open plan living and dining area boasts large windows that flood the space with light and draw in breathtaking views of the lake. This space also features a wonderful vintage wet bar. Step out to the lakefront terrace complete with stunning views over the lake and a large dining table, making it the perfect spot for sunset dinners and aperitivo. The villa also features an elegant roof top terrace that offers unhindered, panoramic views of the lake below.

For larger families and more al-fresco dining, the portico features large tables as well as a built-in gas barbecue.

The villa is surrounded by a 4,000 sqm garden and is terraced down the hillside to the lake. Stairs lead to your own private access to the lake and beach below. VIlla al Lago also features a large private swimming pool with both shallow and deep end. The pool is equipped with sun loungers and parasols and features a bathroom and changing room.

The family bedroom features a double bed and double sofa bed and has a terrace and lake view.

There are 4 bathrooms inside the villa, each with large shower. 3 bathrooms are en-suite and are located in the sleeping area of the villa. The 4th bathroom is in the living space and serves the ground floor bedroom and living room.


The 5th bathroom is with shower at the pool area.

Swimming Pool

The private swimming pool measures 16 m x 8 m and has a children’s shallow end at 60cm deep. At its deepest, the pool is 3.5m deep with a normal and high diving board.

Good to Know

The villa has air conditioning in the lounge/dining area and 3 bedrooms. Fans are provided in the other bedrooms.

The pool is not fenced so children must always be supervised.

There are laundry facilities and WIFI throughout the home. Each bathroom is supplied with a hairdryer.

The gardens feature a private tennis court and although this is quite old and in disrepair, it is suitable for amateur tennis and fun.

The villa offer direct access to the beach via a private gate.

The villa has a full-time custodian who lives next to the villa and who tends to the gardens and pool.

Location

Villa al Lago is located in a private residential community, about 1.5km from the Port of Moniga. It is also about 1.5km from the historic centre of Moniga and its castle and shops. Moniga also features a small shopping centre with supermarket.

A well-known local trattoria, le Tre Santi, is in easy walking distance from the villa (about 800m), and the resort next door to the villa also has a pizzeria which is open to non-residents.

Moniga del Garda is a small town on the West shoreline of Lake Garda and has both a small town centre up the hill as well as a picturesque harbour. Moniga’s most popular feature is its castle – locals still live here.

A vehicle is needed for stays at Villa al Lago but it is not remote. There is parking for up to 6 cars – 3 covered spaces and 3 open spaces.

The villa is about a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.
