Overview

Sitting on the shores of Lake Garda, Villa Golfo is a modern private villa overlooking the Gulf of Salò, with access to the beach and wonderful lake views from the main living spaces.

The villa is arranged over two levels and is designed as two independent living areas that can work brilliantly for families or friends travelling together, while still feeling like one connected home (linked by internal and external staircases).

The main living space is on the ground floor, where floor-to-ceiling windows bring in the light and the lake. The lounge and dining area open onto the patio, which is set up for relaxed outdoor meals with a large gas barbecue and lake views. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, and this level also includes one of the double bedrooms.

Upstairs you’ll find a second lounge area with a small kitchenette, plus two further double bedrooms. One of these has an en-suite bathroom and lake views, while the other has lake views and opens onto the terrace. The upstairs living area also includes a double sofa bed for the seventh and eighth guests.

Outside, the gardens are beautifully kept and the private pool terrace is an easy place to spend the day – and when you want the lake itself, it’s just a stone’s throw to the beach.

Location

Overlooking the Gulf of Salò, Villa Golfo is in a prime position for exploring the western shore, with access to the beach and Salò within walking distance.

Salò is one of Lake Garda’s best towns for an evening out, with a wonderful lakeside promenade stretching for almost 3km – the only one of its kind on the lake. The start of the Salò promenade and beaches are around a 15-minute walk away, with the centre and ferry port around a 30-minute walk along the lake.

Portese is also within walking distance and offers a selection of excellent local restaurants.

Although the villa is walkable for restaurants and the lake, a vehicle is still recommended for flexibility.

Just 30 minutes drive from the main A4 Milan-Venice motorway, Villa Golfo is about a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.

First floor: 2 double bedrooms – one with en-suite bathroom and lake views, one with lake views and terrace – plus the family bathroom.

Extra bed: double sofa bed in the first-floor lounge (best suited to 6 adults and 2 children).

Good to know

Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms and living area, with Wi-Fi throughout.

At full capacity, two guests will be sleeping on the double sofa bed in the first-floor living area.

There is a laundry area with washing machine and dryer, and hairdryers are provided.
