Overlooking beautiful Lake Como, Villa Regina is a stunning luxury villa nestled in the hills close to the famous Villa del Balbianello. With a stunning view over Lake Como’s only island, Isola Comacina, this home has a stunning infinity pool, beautiful lake views and makes for the perfect luxury stay in the Italian lakes.

The chic, contemporary exterior combines perfectly with ultra-stylish interiors and floor to ceiling glass offers the best of indoor – outdoor Italian living. The villa is spread over two floors and incredible lake views are the focal point through the entire space.

The main terrace overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening aperitivo and leads indoors through floor to ceiling windows into the bright and airy open plan living space. There’s a lounge area with a beautiful fireplace, comfy sofas and the most stunning lake views.

The dining area has plenty of space to entertain and the fully equipped kitchen is complete with everything you need to rustle up some local cuisine. Even better still, let your own personal chef take care of things instead.

Villa Regina sleeps 12 guests over 6 ensuite bedrooms and the ground floor is host to the first four bedrooms. The two master bedrooms on the ground floor have been designed to make the most of the incredible lake views and these are both double rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Both of these also have direct access to the terraces around the villa.

The other two double rooms are designed around the wonderful interior garden terrace and both have ensuite bathrooms. One room has a double bed while the second has a double sofa bed.

Head up to the first floor for the last two master bedrooms. Both are double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and both have stunning views over the lake below. One of the master rooms also has direct access to the first floor terrace.

The stunning outdoor spaces of Villa Regina are the real jewels in the crown. The incredible views over Lake Como from the infinity pool and hot tub really are breathtaking and the gardens surrounding the villa full of fragrance and colour.

The outdoor terraces and lounge area make for absolute perfect outdoor living, superb for morning coffee, sunset aperitivo and everything in between. Not to mention the outdoor dining area and barbecue – a quintessential part of Italian summer dining.

Good to Know

The bedrooms can be made into twins on request, with the exception of the ground floor room with double sofa bed.

Please be aware the stunning grounds include plenty of steps leading to the pool and various terraced levels, so you will need to keep an eye on little ones when outside.

The villa is air conditioned and has WIFI throughout and laundry facilities are available.

Guests have access to a complimentary shuttle service between the villa and the lake, private dock and local restaurants in the village of Sala Comacina. The journey is approximately 2 minutes and is available on request during between April and September.

Location

Villa Regina is located in the hills of the charming old-town of Sala Comacina. Although a small village, it offers an authentic Italian experience and is best known for having Lake Como’s only island – Isola Comacina. The village is around 1km away from the villa and within walking distance.

Guests have access to a complimentary shuttle service between the villa and the lake, private dock and local restaurants in the village of Sala Comacina. The journey is approximately 2 minutes and is available on request during between April and September.

The village and surrounding areas offer a host of excellent traditional and modern restaurants and be sure to visit nearby Villa del Balbianello. With a wonderful location on Lake Como’s shore, the villa has been used in feature films including both Star Wars and James Bond’s Casino Royale.

For a great alternative, head down the hill to nearby Tremezzo, check yourself into the superb restaurant for dinner and take full advantage of the world-class wine list and culinary delights.

The well known resort of Menaggio is just 20 minutes away with Como and Bellagio around 40 minutes away. If you’re looking to head further afield, both Lecco and Lugano (Switzerland) are around 60 minutes away with Milan and Bergamo up to 90 minutes away.

Guests should have a vehicle here and the villa has parking for up to 4 cars.
