Overview

Villa Fiordisole is a beautiful historic villa typical of this part of the lake, set in a large terraced private park overlooking the water. It has been recently renovated with refreshed interiors that blend traditional Italian style with modern convenience, and it’s unusually well placed for a villa of this scale: you’re only a short walk from the lake, services and the waterfront. 

The villa is arranged over three levels. The ground floor holds the “extra space” that makes a difference for groups – including a games room, reading room, studio and a guest bathroom – so the house feels easy to live in with everyone under one roof. 

The first floor is the heart of the villa and where the lake views really come into their own. Here you’ll find the large kitchen, a bright panoramic living room with wide windows, and a dining room overlooking the lake. This floor also hosts the spacious master bedroom, with a terrace facing the water. 

Upstairs, the remaining six bedrooms are spread across two areas including an attic level. All bedrooms have air conditioning and lake views, and the layout naturally creates a little separation between rooms, which works very well for larger groups. 

Outside, the villa’s outdoor kitchen terrace sits to the side of the house with a dining table for 15 and a barbecue — the sort of set-up that makes terrace dinners feel effortless. The pool is ideal for cooling off between lake days and long lunches at home, and the terraced gardens give you plenty of space to spread out and take in the views.

Location

Villa Fiordisole is in Barbarano di Salò, just a short walk to the lake, bars, restaurants and useful amenities. 

You are also within easy reach of Rimbalzello, a popular lakeside centre with a restaurant, tennis courts, swimming pool and beach. 

The start of the lakeside promenade of Gardone Riviera is around 500m away, where you’ll find lakeside cafés and restaurants, plus the ferry port – one of the simplest ways to explore Lake Garda without driving. 

A vehicle isn’t essential for stays here thanks to the walkable setting, but it is recommended for flexibility. The property has parking inside the gates for up to 5 cars. 

The villa is approximately one hour’s drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.

Good to know

Fiordisole is a historic villa arranged over three levels, and the gardens are terraced, so it best suits guests comfortable with stairs. 

The pool is compact (6m x 3m) and designed for dipping and cooling off rather than long lap swimming. 

A car isn’t essential thanks to the walkable setting, but it is recommended for exploring further afield and for easy shopping runs.
