Villa Marina is a modern and bright, open-plan villa and the main living space on the ground floor is the centre of this family home with exposed beams, comfy sofas as well as the dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Huge glass doors flood the room with light and extend the lounge out onto the terrace and gardens and with views over the pool and out into the distance over the rolling hills, the covered patio is perfect to while away long, hot summer days. Whether it’s long, lazy breakfasts or vibrant evening barbecues, the terrace is unmistakably the heart of this Italian home.
Balmy summer days are made better by the private swimming pool and if you need a respite from the Italian sun, the entire villa is air-conditioned. With four bedrooms, Villa Marina can accommodate up to ten guests and is spread over three levels. As well as the main living space, the ground floor also boasts a double bedroom and a twin bunk room and the first of three bathrooms. Sitting on the southwest coast of Lake Garda, Villa Marina is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Valtenesi overlooking the small town of Moniga del Garda. Close to the popular lakeside towns of Salo and Desenzano del Garda, Moniga has both a village centre with a supermarket nearby and a lakeside beach, bustling with restaurants, cafes and bars.
Although not a remote location at all, we usually recommend a vehicle for stays at Villa Marina as it really does help to explore this area to its fullest. There are plenty of facilities though within walking distance including the local supermarket which is just under 10 minutes walk away. The village centre is a little further at a little over 15 minutes walk and you can reach the beach in around 20 to 25 minutes on foot or 5 minutes or so by car.
The port is serviced by the lake ferries and with boats running throughout the day, they make for an exciting alternative way to explore Lake Garda. The closest train station is in Desenzano del Garda, around 15 minutes drive away and if the fabulous city of Verona is on your wish list, it’s just 20 minutes by train. Milan and Venice are just 90 minutes away.
Travel times from the airports are good with Verona around 40 minutes away and Milan Bergamo around an hour.
Moniga del Garda is an easy destination to get to and you can discover the various options in our Guide to Getting to Lake Garda. See here for Car Hire options or get an instant quote for Airport Transfers.
