Overview

Villa Albero sits close to the shores of Porto San Felice in the sought-after Valtenesi area, with lake views and an easy, laid-back feel. Newly refurbished and thoughtfully designed, it’s bright and spacious, finished in white and natural tones, with large terraces and beautifully curated gardens filled with palms, magnolias, olive trees and (of course) the villa’s signature cedar.

The main living level is the heart of the house: a stylish entrance opens onto open-plan living and dining spaces, with a fully equipped kitchen that’s ideal for entertaining. In summer, the flow is easy – step straight out to the marble-tiled terrace for long lunches and slow evenings outdoors.

Four of the five bedrooms sit on this main level, each with an en-suite bathroom and views over the gardens. The lower garden level is arranged as a spacious, elegant apartment with its own kitchen, bathroom and a lovely Iroko-wood terrace overlooking the pool – a great set-up if part of the group would enjoy a touch more independence.

For the best end-of-day moment, head up to the roof terrace. With the cedar tree rising through the space and the lake and Monte Baldo in the distance, it’s a brilliant spot for sunset aperitivo.

Location

Villa Albero is in a quiet spot near Porto San Felice, just a few hundred metres from the bay and lakeside. You can walk down for the beach and a small selection of restaurants and bars, though do note the route is via a downhill gravel road.

The centre of San Felice del Benaco is around 1km away (about 10–15 minutes on foot), with a small but lovely selection of shops, cafés and restaurants and a very “local” feel that suits this side of the lake. A vehicle is still recommended for day trips and flexibility, and there is parking within the grounds.

Verona and Milan Bergamo airports are both around one hour away.
