Overview

Villa Gaia is a stunning, newly renovated antique Limonaia, close to the popular towns of Gargnano and Toscolano Maderno. Completely renovated, the villa overlooks landscaped gardens, beautiful swimming pool and lake views in the distance, making it a stunning getaway on Lake Garda.

Villa Gaia boasts a wonderful blend of modern design and attention to detail, while keeping true to its antique origins, typical of this stunning area. Think bright rooms, large windows and wooden floors. The villa is spread over three levels and accommodates 10 guests across four bedrooms.

The living area comfortably accommodates 10 guests and opens onto the stunning portico, a porch area covered with a pergola of vines and a stunning lake view. Dine in style with a table large enough for 10 and a modern gas barbecue. The kitchen is bright and spacious and overlooks the garden.

The stunning villa gardens spread out over 2000 square meters and three terraces and are complete with an olive grove and citrus trees. The garden is also home to a large private swimming pool, furnished with relaxing chairs, sunloungers and parasol.

The bedrooms are spread over two floors of the villa with the first two on the ground and mezzanine floor. One is a double room with ensuite bathroom and the other, again with ensuite bathroom, is a double room with double sofa bed. Both of these rooms overlook the garden and swimming pool. The second floor is host to two spacious rooms with lake views. The first is a double ensuite room with additional twin beds, best suited to children. The last room is a twin room, with ensuite bathroom.

There are 4 bedrooms here – 2 double rooms, one with additional twin beds; 1 twin room; 1 double room with double sofa bed.

There are 4 en-suite bathrooms, 3 with shower and one with a bathtub / shower. All bathrooms have a hair dryer.

Kitchen

There is a bright and spacious lake view kitchen overlooking the garden. It’s fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is approximately 15 m x 2.5 m with a maximum depth of 140cm. It is complete with sun loungers and parasol and the area closest to the house  also has a whirlpool.

Good to Know

Villa Gaia has air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms and WIFI access throughout. The villa is best suited to a maximum of 8 adults and 2 children –  on the second floor, one double bedroom has two additional single beds, suitable only for children up to 8 years old.

There is a children’s play area in the garden complete with trampoline and basketball net. The garden is fenced and pet friendly.

Guests have access and use of a traditional Italian Piaggio Ape, a fun way to see the local town.

Location

Overlooking Lake Garda, Villa Gaia is nestled in the village of Cecina, just 5 minutes by car from the lakeside towns of Gargnano and Toscolano Maderno. The village has a few restaurants within walking distance but we recommend having a vehicle here.

The town of Toscolano Maderno is popular and has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The beaches are popular with the locals and the town boasts it’s own ferry port, making it well connected and offering an excellent way to explore more of Lake Garda.

Close to the main A4 Milan-Venice motorway, Villa Gaia is just over a 1 hour drive from both Milan Bergamo Airport and Verona Airport.

A car is recommended here but please note the villa has parking only for one car on the street that leads to the villa in front of the main entrance. The villa is located in a hamlet and can be reached by a vehicle with a maximum width of 1.85 meters. The last 800 meters of the road leading to the villa is unpaved. Around 500 meters away (just a few minutes walk) there is a free local car park.
