Overview

With incredible views over Lake Como, Villa La Rocca is an exclusive private villa close to the lakeside town of Menaggio. Spacious and luxurious, this wonderful home has a private pool and with unspoilt views over the lake, it makes for a perfect villa holiday in Italy.

Nestled in the hills above Menaggio, one of the most popular and picturesque towns on Lake Como, Villa La Rocca is surrounded by stunning landscapes and many of the home’s beautifully furnished rooms offer more of the same, spectacular mountain and lake views.

The main villa is set over three floors and with a separate guest house offering additional space, it sleeps a total of 14 guests over 7 rooms, making this a fantastic choice for families travelling together.

The entrance to the main house is by an impressive marble floored entrance hall and vast atrium leading to a bright, spacious living room with open fireplace and lake views. There’s a fully equipped professional kitchen and the dining area is an ideal spot to entertain with a unique dining table crafted by a renowned Lake Como boat builder. The ground floor is also host to three double bedrooms that share a luxurious family bathroom, complete with sunken bath and shower as well as access to a large terrace.

The first floor has a further two double bedrooms. These are both ensuite and the master bedroom has a lovely sitting area as well as a spacious private terrace. The second bedroom has its own balcony.

The lower ground floor is completely dedicated to relaxation and is reached by a lift from the ground floor. Enjoy movie nights in the cinema room or entertain in the bar and wine cellar instead.

The guest house is just a short walk from the main villa and has a cozy living area as well as a fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs, which is accessed by an external staircase, are two double bedrooms and which share a spacious family bathroom.

Sitting in the vast, south-facing grounds above Lake Como, this wonderful home enjoys all day sun and the beautiful, heated infinity pool and jacuzzi provide endless hours of fun and relaxation. A wisteria-covered pergola is home to the outside dining area as well as a professional barbecue, perfect for al-fresco summer dining. Maintained to perfection, the immaculate gardens are alive with flowers, plants and trees and these lush areas provide perfect spots to sit back and soak in the most incredible lake views.

Villa La Rocca also has a fantastic pool house boasting a wellness spa, complete with sauna, steam bath, showers and gym. There’s also lounge area with video games as well as a kitchen.

Good to Know

This home has WIFI and there is air conditioning in the five bedrooms of the main villa. Please note that the swimming pool and jacuzzi are open and heated between May and September. Outside of these dates, they can be heated on prior request only and at an extra charge.

Our local team look after this wonderful villa, complete with villa manager, concierge and housekeeper, all on hand to help you during you stay.

On arrival, you’ll be treated to a welcome hamper and drinks and there’s a daily housekeeping service provided.

Location

Located in the hills above Lake Como, Villa La Rocca is just 3km from the town of Menaggio, one of Lake Como’s most popular towns. The lakeside promenade is a great place to rub shoulders with the locals and enjoy leisurely strolls, fantastic Italian pizza and evening aperitivo. Hop on a ferry from the port to appreciate the beauty of this area from the water and visit other famous towns such as Bellagio and Varenna.

For the more adventurous guest, the surrounding mountains give you the chance to hike and bike through beautiful scenery following old trails through the hills and down to the lake shore.
