Overview

Villa Puro sits in the hills above Lake Garda, in a five-acre private park that feels quietly removed, yet close enough to Toscolano Maderno for a coffee by the lake or dinner out. Recently rebuilt as a contemporary restoration of an old farmhouse, it’s minimalist and design-led – clean lines, natural materials and a strong sense of calm – with the lake views framed from almost every angle.

The main villa is arranged for shared time: an open-plan living space with comfortable lounge and formal dining, plus a fully equipped kitchen for relaxed villa living. Upstairs are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms (the master is en-suite), while the ground floor flows naturally out to the covered portico for long lunches and easy evenings at home.

Immediately beside the main villa sits the annex, divided into two independent apartments. Each has its own living area with lounge and kitchenette, plus a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom – ideal if part of your group would appreciate a little extra privacy.

Outside, the villa’s outdoor spaces are a real highlight. Alongside the pool, there’s a covered lake-view dining area with open-fire barbecue and shaded lounge. And for something a little different, the tiered olive grove (dating back to the 17th century) has its own dining table and swinging hammocks – a brilliant spot for reading, aperitivo, or a special dinner with the lake below you.

Location

Villa Puro is close to Toscolano Maderno, one of the western shore’s most practical towns for restaurants, cafés and supermarkets.

By car, Toscolano is around five minutes away. It’s also possible to walk down to town in around 15 minutes, but do note the villa is in a rural hillside setting – roads may not be lit at night and footpaths may not always be available.

A vehicle is essential here, and there is parking at the villa. The closest airports are Verona and Milan Bergamo (both just over one hour away), with Milan Malpensa a little over two hours away.
